I was so busy drawing all the time but I don't have a lot to show for it here.

Drawpile. Felt like making something shiny while thinking about recent events in Sky: Children of the light.

Drawpile. I've been playing a lot of Obenseuer lately. Lily is often going through it. Somehow Phinxnel is there too.

Drawpile. The trend of "Draw the thing I've been thinking about lately" continues. Maybe Happy Ending is a nice musical.

Drawpile. A doodle of the characters from Gray Lo-Fi's In Reverie of the Past.

Drawpile. I had been replaying Recettear for the first time in many years and some of the goofy optimistic characters reminded me of Phinxel.
October 6th, 2025
Drawpile. A doodle recording all of the pokemon caught (so far) in a friend's Fire Red playthrough.

Drawpile. I hadn't drawn Sky-related art in ages, and I was enjoying my sky kid's halloween outfit at the time.

Drawpile. Revisiting Hazel, a witch character that was involved in some drawings from Halloween 2024.
At this point my entire creative life became Phinxel's Field Notes because I needed to get it done for the December Decker Jam.....

Drawpile. I feel really apologetic looking back at these months... I kept coming into social drawpile just to draw vent art about the big project. But everyone was always very kind and supportive about it.
I appreciate it a lot.
THE BIG PROJECT....
The last few months of the year were overwhelmingly focused on finishing Phinxel's Field Notes, an alternate documentation for Decker which had been in progress since late 2024.
It's a project full of drawings but they're often small and just meant to illustrate some concept relating to the text. I'm really proud of my work in there but it's hard to showcase much of it outside of the book itself.
I'm probably not going to take on a project like this again for a long time, but I will try to update the Phield Notes now and then as Decker continues to develop!
Even More Phinxels
Drawpile. (Various dates.) During drawpile nights we usually have a central doodle that everyone contributes a character to. In the beginning we drew the backgrounds by hand but lately we've mostly been using stock photography.
These are just a couple of my Phinxels from these doodles over the last half of the year. I don't feel like I have a 'end of year art round up' in me this year, but I do have memories of many months of social drawing and I treasure these little adventures a lot.
