Late 2022
2022 was the year of remembering how to draw...
It's time to get more ambitious. Let's color.
Unfortunately only on my phone? The process was a bit slow. There's an absence of edge control and a general lack of awareness what I'm doing.

Some digital color over a pencil sketch from Skytober. One of the first things I showed to anyone except my sky buddy.

More rough color over Skytober drawings, in this case a sketch of the skykid trio turned into the something of the Vault OOB shortcut I was using in late 2022.

Recording my impressions of the Aurora Concert, the finale of the Season of Aurora
December 22nd?, 2022
Jamming out as snow-kids.
December 22nd?, 2022
Long awaited, the pleaful parent travelled home. While 'Grandma' -- the guide of their season -- was taking up residence in the home space as well.
Pleaful's spirit is one of the absolutely worst to have to relive. We all need a nap after that.

I was thinking a lot more about color at this time. And I wanted to approach a spirit as being transparent and wavering. Like jelly, arguably. I wasn't able to push the idea far enough at the time, but I think it led to a cute enough image anyway.

The Aurora concert continued into January and I went back to watch it again -- but now with a floor seat. I could see Aurora's animations much better than up in the nosebleed section, and at times the floor beneath us flooded with water that reflected our light as players.
Also kind of interesting, the floor dropped out from under our section at the start of the grand finale song. It sent us all scrambling and sliding around on the ice -- and signaled to the audience up in the stands that they should get up and join in too.
I wish I had been able to work on this in some way other than on a small phone screen? But I still like it (writing this in 2025). I had a thought and I recorded it with the tools I had available.
